Well I changed the line to == and it did get rid of the "Force Alarm" option on the page, but did not solve the sound playing over and over again.. would ssh access help on this machine?

it's only being used for this purpose - so if it gets guzzied up no worries..

Curiously, I'm not very well versed with recompiling.. if I want to recompile without overwriting all the configuration files i've made do I just simply go through the ./configure make and leave out the make install and just copy one of the binaries on top of the existing binaries? zm_monitor goes ...

I found that line you refer to.. I'll try to recompile and give it a shot.. and get back to you..

I have set my zoneminder 1.22.3 box up and when I set it up in MoCord mode it always plays the .wav file that I have put in the options dialog box. Ideally it would only play the sound file when actual motion is being recorded. Is this normal behavior for the sound file to continuously play in ...

looks good so far.. I haven't noticed any dropped events..

so perhaps an outdated zmaudit.pl made it into the packaged fedora core 3 RPM's..

Even without enabling PurgeWhenFull filter I lose events! :) This is "record" mode.. Okay just to provide further updates on my setup. I had everything working fine, and then noticed having dropped events.. About 2 every hour.. So I would have in the database the 9:00 9:10 - DROPPED or DELETED 9:20 9:30 9:40 9:50 - DROPPED or DELETED 10:00 I've been through the previous threads ...

I figured it out! it's is one of those Day/Night cameras that switches to a different sensor type in low light conditions.. it appears to be recording full color now that we have the light of day!

If you look at the Monitor feed it shows live color images.. However in the monitoring records it is all grayscale.. Is there a way to configure it to record in RGB? It is a color camera..
