sorry, by no-go I mean no video. dmesg shows the card as unknown/generic. lpci sees the card, and it appears to be correct. xawtv also shows black video, plus when I change the capture mode, or the channel, I get an input/output error from v4l2. OK I'm a bit of a newbe, but I have set up a system and if my capture card (a 4-port type 77 card) is in the first pci slot no go. If I move it to the third slot I'm ok.
