useOldMenuView is not defined

Received a Ubuntu ZoneMinder update today (Version: 1.37.66~20250709172429-noble), everything looks good until you try to review events. Clicking on any selection in one of the 'event' columns results in the event page header but nothing else. The log file shows "ReferenceError: useOldMenuView is ...

Re: Rows per page

On Ubuntu I had ZoneMinder updates frozen to avoid updating to any of the newer versions that constantly force only 10 lines per page. To update to Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS I was forced to update Zoneminder. Now I'm running Zoneminder v1.37.63 and the forced 10 lines per page is a real pain. If you really ...

Re: Live view not working

BGee56 did you ever find a resolution? I have exactly the same issues on a Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS system. Zoneminder worked for a couple years and I kept everything updated. Unfortunately an update four months ago broke Zoneminder resulting in no 'live view' and no image in 'Zone Edit' which also breaks ...

Re: "Scan Network" deletes all existing camera definitions

Thank you for your perfect help. As you had suggested each camera was set "Deleted: 1". After running "UPDATE Monitors SET Deleted=false;" they were set "Deleted: 0" and I can get back to monitoring the activities of the Hummingbirds. Amazing how easy it is after someone sets me on the correct path ...

Re: "Scan Network" deletes all existing camera definitions

You've given me hope, thank you!
Will locate the database and see if I can figure out the proper field to edit.

"Scan Network" deletes all existing camera definitions

My Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS updated Zoneminder, it now shows as v1.37.45. There is a very prominent button titled " Scan Network " which quickly gave me a list of all none camera devices on my network. That was useless so I just clicked on the 'console' option to go back to checking my cameras ...

Release v1.36.23 kills streaming on Ubuntu

Just received the v1.36.23 update alert and allowed it on Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS system. Install seemed normal with no errors, I also checked that zmupdate was okay. Unfortunately all rtsp cameras are now failing, I occasionally get a frame but it is quickly replaced with a black screen with a message ...

Re: Date Format differs

So, even if we have to edit after every update, is there a way to get the Date string in the various views to be Day/Month/Year? I edited many of the php's changing %d/%m/%y to %y/%m/%d but none had any effect even after restarting httpd and zoneminder. The only change that had any impact was adding ...

Re: Segfaults with ZM 1.26.5 and Fedora 20 64 bit

After an update over a year ago I had the same kind of problem. I knew several of the needed libraries had been updated so I have been hoping that I could just recompile. My old source would not compile nor would the last two updates. I've tried finding a way to fix the Fedora library problems in ...

Re: Segfaults with ZM 1.26.5 and Fedora 20 64 bit

I have not been able to get ZoneMinder to compile on my Fedora boxes for over a year.
Could you post your configure line, I would be happy to test on a current ZoneMinder version.
I have it running fine on RHEL5.

Re: Zoneminder and external dvr recorder

You might try zmodopipe. Try: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18137&hilit=zmodopipe Looks like some ZoneMinder users have had success with it. It is a simple compile. When you start it you give it the IP of your DVR and arguments that should let it access the DVR video stream(s ...

Solution includes being familiar with automake, which I am not... --- libtoolizee libtoolize: putting auxiliary files in `.'. libtoolize: linking file `./ltmain.sh' libtoolize: You should add the contents of the following files to `aclocal.m4': libtoolize: `/usr/share/aclocal/libtool.m4' libtoolize ...

Re: Now hear this: Please test 1.26-beta.2!

Do you happen to have a configure script that might work for Fedora? I tried autoconf, automake, and autoreconf but none could create a usable configure. For example: -------------------------------- autoconf configure.ac:3: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE If this token and others ...
