Cost more, if even available on the unit. Streaming to the internet with the hardware devices often requires an ActiveX control, which won't work on various browsers and operating systems. On the other hand, it may/may not take you a while to set up the ZM install the way you like it. If time isn't ...

I've had 5 of those running on a machine (along with various others) at 640x480, and had no problems with any of them. And they can moo.

google search

I've found that searching via google is much more productive than searching through phpbb. Also uses google's resources more than the zoneminder forum's. Using google, it properly treats quoted items ("two words" looks for both together), -/+ symbols ("two words" -"three words" ) searches for ...

Not sure (too lazy to look) how dollars compare between countries, but I love my 1031 (1011) is the replacement (they changed models), http://store.bluecherry.net/ACTi_ACM_1011N_MPEG4_IP_Camera_D1_30FPS_w_Audio_p/acm-1011.htm Looking at $470 USD, though. Took amazing streams even in rather badly lit ...

I'd agree with bb99, it looks like one's set for 640x480 and the other set for 320x240, that's going to cause a problem. I believe the shared memory issues, unless they're "can't shmget" mean it's not getting the stream with current settings, not that your shmax is too low. However, if you discover ...

CGI shouldn't be an issue, as he claims the d-link is working. I'm assuming you can get an image in ZM with the d-link. When you try adding the toshiba's, can you still see the d-link? Have you tried running just 1 toshiba without the dlink running? When you go to a browser and get 192.168.0.5/Jpeg ...

Ok, so let's clarify some more. You're connected to the internet through a dsl/cable router? Your Axis 211A is plugged into the same router? Said router also provides wireless to your laptop, but it only works when your laptop is wired into the same hub? Could be a wireless routing issue. Is the ...

also, did you use the axis rtsp preset? They're lower on the list than the axis's on top. Your rtsp path looks a little off from what I'm used to. What are your settings on the source tab? I've used the "Axis IP, mpeg4, RTP/RTSP/HTTP" on the 211's, and you just need to enter the ip address, or if it ...

Rovio 3d mapping

It's occurred to me that a wireless rolling camera should be able to somehow weave enough images from it's travels to come up with a navigable, accurate image. Mapping an entire floor into 3d space would be sweet. It sounds feasible, at least, since you should be able to measure distance by speed ...

What're the legal necessities for saving video? I've got 46 cameras running at the moment, some of them mexapixel, and have been asked to have 6 months of video. The 13TB drive space at the moment isn't enough, I plan to double that, but could really use a good solution to back them up. What do you ...

IR and color don't get along. If this things works as advertised, which seems fuzzy from their page, you're not going to get anywhere with it.

Cheap cameras are useful for a very limited set of operations.

What's preventing you from an upgrade? I have issues dealing with the 1.24.2 option (generally fixable), I don't want to imagine what comes before said version. Ubuntu and others probably have a more recent package. The developer is busy, as are most knowledgeable users, would an upgrade help? I'm ...
