scheduled recording won't start

Hi all, I always used zm with motion detection feature and it worked great. Since few days I switched to continuos scheduled recording (monitor mode from 8am to 6pm, recording from 6pm till 8am). The switch is performed through crontab as explained in the documentation. The problem is that sometimes ...

background filters don't work

Hi, I cannot have background filters work. If I run them manually, they do their job, otherwhise they are not triggered. I have ZM_FILTER_EXECUTE_INTERVAL set to 100s, zmfilter.pl is running, what else shoud I check? Second question: Is there a command to purge the the hard drive manually? I read on ...

delete event erases db but doesn't erase filesystem

hi,
the problem is in the subject: if I delete an event, the corresponding jpeg files are untouched. The user running the db has full rights over the events dir and there are not corresponding errors inside logs...
thanks,

4 analog cameras + pv-149 + required hw

Hi, from my previous post I learned that zoneminder doesn't work with hw compression cards (anyways hw compression cards manufacturers such as hikvision, are developing linux drivers....it would be interesting to adapt these cards to zoneminder, since they do motion detection in hw....). Since it's ...

I see. My problem is that I would need to capture smooth videos, so staying close to 25fps per channel would be very good. My hw is only a P4 1.5Ghz with 320GB (raid 0, a good 3ware card, not a fake raid) and 1GB ram. Even if I buy a real 120fps card, I don't think I would be able to record at full ...

hardware compression card

Hi guys, I need to install a 4 analog (they're already deployed) cameras monitoring system I was thinking to use an hardware H264 compression card to lower the system load (the system should be up 24/7 and since it monitors crowded rooms, it will probably record from the 4 cameras at the same time ...
