i'm no expert at linux or zoneminder but i do know a few things that will increase your load. with 25 cams and a dual core you're not doing too bad. 1.0 for dual core is = .50 ? every little change you make with 25 cams will make a big diff' 1- image size 640x480 or 320 x 240 ? it would be hard to ...

Can Zone Minder be set so the Modect will record a minimum time. Some recordings are only 1 second. I'd like to see 60 seconds or more.
