Re: Credentials
Hmm, same problem here. My credentials still work on my android app "IPcamViewer" so I can see the streams and can verify that zm is running. I just have no access to the console. I've restarted apache2, restarted zoneminder, rebooted, no dice. Edit1: I've now also done the mysqlcheck --all-databses ...

Re: Playback issues on events
Meh, just deal with it seems to be the answer. I really miss that feature, too. It is from one of the 1.23 versions. 1.24 broke the playback, now there are these silly buttons so I can't use my browser's intelligent "next" and "previous" mouse gestures either, waaah. The other feature I miss is the ...

Thanks, but I've downgraded. The remastersys image didn't work, and I had to do a ground up install. Once I've got a foolproof imaging solution, I'll be willing to experiment with bricking my computer again. Perhaps a month or so? I'd really like to contribute to the community by solving a problem ...

automated DVD backup *not yet begun*
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but I didn't want to be limited to only one version of ZM. Hello, I'm interested in writing a script that would take a DVD+-R's worth of the oldest events and dumping them onto a DVDR if an empty medium is detected in the drive, before deleting the events ...

zm not writing events to harddisk
Buckle up, there's a lotta background: 1) Played with the melin 1.22 liveCD, had fun, learned how to get things working in Zoneminder. Moved onto the ZM 2008 which worked over pclinuxPS, loved it, especially the gapless events view. 2) Found a killer deal on a Q6600 from Dell. Old POS was an ...

RTfM. zmfilter runs periodically, setting is on options pages somewhere. After you set the purgewhenfull, you can see why the db shrinks automatically because it shrinks by the number of events that you yourself specify in the options for the filter. Basically, to speed up deletion, the event is ...

Looks like my load has increased from (0.5 - 5+) to 1.1 - don't know until the frame gets busy after the weekend when there's traffic in front of the cams. - Athlon 1300 or 1400 - 1G DDR400 - installed from rmelin's LiveCD, not updated. Is it maybe better able to keep up, so getting more analysis ...

Really, I'm not a dumb guy, but... Yep. Only cam1 was on Video0 channel 0. The others were on Video channels (1-3). As in no numerical suffix to video, and I didn't notice until I went back in to check. I had assumed that I was already on video0, because I would have expected black screens if I had ...

right, should have clarified. happens on cam1 view and in "montage". the "Cycle" function is separate, and I am aware of it. I am also aware that the chip switches very quickly through the separate ports when displaying montage, and switches at a longer, user defined interval when cycling. When I ...

camera one cycles through all cameras SOLVED
1-chip bt878 4 cam PCI card. As subject suggests, camera one cycles through all cameras. Funny thing, off Melin's liveCD, and after the install, it worked fine as video(0). Only after I added cameras 2-4 at video(1-3) did cam1 start to cycle. I know I'm a noob, haven't yet tried to set my camera as ...
