Got it on another server also! I've got one server at home Ubuntu 8.10 and one server at my store Ubuntu 8.04 both with 1.23.3. Today i noticed extreme long recordings on my store server. The only thing i did on that server was running the updatemanager last week. Maybe it's not zoneminder but ...

Same here.
Also Zoneminder 1.23.3 under Ubuntu 8.10 but with a cheap btv card.
Previous versions it worked fine.

Maybe there's a setting that limits the alarm recording time?

Works fine real low cpu compared to http.

But how come that it has to be root to run the program?
Is that a ZM protection or is there a way to chmod a file to make it work?
