I think I have finally resolved this problem. It appears to have been something to do with the PurgeWhenFull filter. Events were appearing briefly then disappearing. I deleted the filter & everything is OK. Don't know why as my disk is only 16% used.

After reinstalling zoneminder on 3rd July, it continued to work for a while. I went away on holiday on 10th for 2 weeks, during that time, MoDect stopped recording events on 15th July. Could be something to do with Ubuntu, but I have zoneminder running on my main desktop, not a dedicated machine &am...

Further update. Did yet another de-install & re-install. All working again, but for how long? I tried various parameter changes when it wasn't working. Had a look in the logs, nothing obvious. I could manually force an alarm & it worked but never occurred from MoDect. Complete machine reboot...

I seem to have resolved this by re-installing. Doing a complete removal so the database is deleted then installing again from scratch. Seems to have worked on the first camera I have set up at least. For interest I seem to have "solved" this. It seems that if ZM is configured for more than one port of this card, the output is unstable. Deleting all but one monitor then restarting ZM seems to have solved it for one port. I guess you get what you pay for!
