Path to image storage

My Zoneminder PC has a relatively small HD. Is it possible to change the storage path to point for USB-memory? I can't understand which path is the right one in the setup.

Thank you.

shmmax = 700000000

Don't know why :)

How to use timing with modes?

It would be useful if it was possible to run 'monitor' on a day time and 'modect' during the night time. I know it is possible, but I lack the know how. http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6120 I didn't quite understand that. Is there somewhere better explained example? Thanks for your ...

700-800 Mb. But it is the same thing on my laptop, it has 2gb. Ubuntu 8.04 in both. Here is 'sysctl -p' and 'ipcs -l' from my server machine. (700-800Mb) kernel.shmall = 300000000 kernel.shmmax = 300000000 kernel.printk = 4 4 1 7 kernel.maps_protect = 1 fs.inotify.max_user_watches = 524288 vm.mmap_m...

No help. Even the small pictures stopped working with those values.

I got now 300000000 on both, shmall and shmmax. With poor resolution.

Doesn't help :( This is how my /etc/systcl.conf looks like in Ubuntu 7,04: kernel.shmall = 14400000 kernel.shmmaxx = 16384 # # /etc/sysctl.conf - Configuration file for setting system variables # See sysctl.conf (5) for information. # #kernel.domainname = example.com # the following stops low-level ...

Only small pictures work

I have done that shared memory thing. But still only small videos views in zoneminder monitor. 320x240 works fine, but 352x288 is already too big and it won't work, just broken image icon displays. FPS is 4, if that matters.

Is there anything to do?

Thanks! That is exactly what I've been looking for.

But, there is a big amount of lag : )

At first everything is fine, but after few mins the picture is late for 20 secs and increasing.. I have the same fps setup in the ZM and in the link.

Thanks, but no help. Source stays red.

Should I try an older version of ZM?

Edit: I think I have rights to /dev/video1 because "cat /dev/video1" works fine.

Edit2: I did nothing and the source seems to be yellow now. Still no picture.
