Yeah..

Anyone using this? I've set it up and don't seem to have any of the problems people are seeing with apache and other things. Are issues tied to certain distro's or certain version's of ZM? I'm just trying to figure out why everything works in the DVD install.

I'm not sure about phillips, but I have another solution for that. I'll come back when I have it all working.

I have used the newest 1.24 with mpjg_streamer and the Orbit AF cam. It works perfect and I've already gained control of the Orbit from within Zoneminder with help from someone else. I hate to keep brining this up and it could very well be my install that I kinda rigged up. I made sure everything was removed minus two files on accident before installing this latest 1.24. I went right to the control area and get the following error in the little box for setting up controls ...

Got it installed, did what I said above but went into the /usr/lib/cgi-bin directory and deleated the two old files from my older Zoneminder install.

So what do you think are going to be the effects of removing those entries in zm_local_camera.cpp?

When did you do the ffmpeg install? What version is in /usr/local/ffmpeg/version.h ? I think I edited my post before you had a chance to look. I tried just installing your newest release with the ffmpeg I had working with the older version. When I saw the error I then tried to reinstall ffmpeg like 10 minutes or so ago using the commands in the above post. I went to /usr/local ...

Hmm, I'm not real smart on all this, but I did go into my /usr/local/src/ffmpeg and did make uninstall-libs and make uninstall which appeared to remove everything. Just downloaded the newest source and found it won't install where the last version would. I'm not sure if something changed, but I seem to be doing everything the same way i've been doing it. Did you get the addon for mjpg_streamer control added? It's pretty cool to control my Orbit with Zoneminder.

Cool, atleast it's not an install error. I just used phpmyadmin to get around it all and edit what I needed manually.
