Take a look in /etc/rc2.d and you should see S99zoneminder or zm. I'll check this evening and see what happens when updates are applied. I assume any number of things could have happened.

Capture cards are something I don't have on hand. Probably require some tweaking if it's not covered in the forums somewhere.

Try http://127.0.0.1/zm from firefox on the desktop or go to the servers IP from another web browser. Just remember to put the /zm after the IP, otherwise you'll see the stock apache2 files. In it's current state everything starts on boot and is already running and waiting for you to configure ...

Glad you got it part way working, for us it works great with four Axis cams all running rtsp from remote sites to the server, so not within the lan.

I'm sure your more interested in solving the problem and getting it going on your own install, but if your interested in giving the DVD I put together a chance just look under the zoneminder distro section. We have it running on Axis cams using rtsp and streaming 30fps. I at least know if you used ...

I just setup FOUR M1011-w cams last night on a single server with rstp/mpeg4.

Works fine for me and hit over 30fps. I used the new DVD I put together for my setup.

tested mpeg4/rtsp on axis m1031w - works.

Seems to work just fine. I tried it out on three cameras and decided to just put together an installable DVD with the files and examples included. Thanks for providing this code.

The newer DVD didn't have a txt file of saved info. It's possibly it's the default zm. Your commands look correct, but do a test run on something else if your able to. After changing it you'll have to find the zm config file that holds the DB password and change that also. I'm feeling motivated ...

It's been awhile, so I honestly don't remember. I'm looking at creating a new one that includes the latest version. Meanwhile, you should be able to change the root password and alter your zoneminder config to the new one.

It should be just admin/admin.
