Ok, I got it to work. If anyone has the same problem - it seems that the problem was that image width/heigth didn't match the image resolution. After changing that and restarting ZM (maybe not necessary, but the monitor didn't show any image before I did that) everything works great!

Hi! This seems like a really interesting feature, but I'm not sure I got it right... ZM takes a jpeg image as it's source right? That means that it should be able to display whatever jpeg I put on the source path?? I can't manage to make it work :( Could someone give me a little hint please? This is ...

I am having the same problem. The thing is that for some events, there's only one frame inserted into the Frames table, so the max(F.Delta)-min(F.Delta) always gives 0 for them. I solved the problem by replacing max(F.Delta)-min(F.Delta) by max(F.Delta): select max(F.Delta) as FullLength, E.*, unix ...

Ok, the method you provided works - just a little detail: the second parameter sould be username instead of user... And it's not possible to use directly auth without code adaptations.

Thanks again!

Hello.

Maybe you could pass the encrypted auth parameter to the cgi script instead of the clear user/pass couple. Take a look at this topic:

Cordel, thanks for the reply. I will try the solution you provided as soon as I get home, but if I access the ZM server that way, I'm sending the user and the password non encrypted, which would be a threat to security. There must be a way to access the server in a more secure manner - maybe &action ...

Authentication

Hi everyone! I'm trying to access the ZM server from another web server. The ZM server is in authenticated mode. When I try to access the stream, I generate the auth key and I use it in the stream URL: http://localhost/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=mpeg&monitor=4&scale=100&bitrate=25000&maxfps=5&format=swf ...

Ok, I've been digging a little bit more, and this method seems to work when a video is generated from a recorded event.

I would like to add a logo in a live stream (Monitor mode) that is converted to a swf. Is that possible?? Isn't the MJPEG converted to the SWF using ffmpeg in this case?

Adding a logo...

Hi everyone, I posted this question on another forum section before, but I guess it's not very active anymore, so I'm posting the same question here, with more hope :) Could a logo be added to the output video using the ZM_FFMPEG_OUTPUT_OPTIONS option ? I tried giving the -vhook '/usr/lib/vhook ...

Sorry for bringing this topic from dead, but I didn't manage to find the answer to this question yet. Could a logo be added using the ZM_FFMPEG_OUTPUT_OPTIONS option ? I tried giving the -vhook '/usr/lib/vhook/watermark.so -f /home/user/logo.gif', but it doesn't seem to work. Could anyone tell me ...
