I have the same problem. I increased my shared memory and ran cec manually. I see an FFMPEG error. symbol av_free_packet, version LIBAVCODEC_52 not defined in file libavcodec.so.52 with link time reference I recently reinstalled ffmpeg to add x264 support. That process had its share of problems with ...

Thanks Phil. I tried switching from MPEG (SWF) to JPEG for streaming and it dramatically improved the situation. The timestamps now seem to be consistent across all montage stream windows. How do you think I can improve the encoding performance for MPEG streaming so that each stream can basically ...

Dissimilar timestamps in Montage
Hi, I have ZM 1.24.1 running with 6 Sony IP cameras. The problem is when I launch Montage view and leave it open for 10-15 minutes, the timestamps on 4 or 5 (out of 6) cameras are completely different from each other. At times there is a difference of 2 to 4 minutes between each pair of timestamps ...

Ok. So the preset worked for a different camera. I could configure an Axis 215 PTZ properly for MPEG streaming into Zoneminder. And I was momentarily happy. But when I tried using the preset for the Axis 211 that I have, it failed. Here's the zm_debug log: 06/15/09 11:57:04.124481 zmc_m9[12886].DB1 ...

Thanks ... the preset worked. I can see the video being streamed. But now I can see the video on only one of my zoneminder installations. I configured the same camera on another machine with the same steps but there's no capture. Need to see the debug log. Will get back if I need more help. Thanks ...

Help needed: Want to use camera MPEG as source (Axis 211)
Hi all, I'm trying to configure ZM to use the MPEG stream provided by an Axis 211 network camera. This camera provides an RTSP stream named rtsp://x.x.x.x:554/mpeg4/media.amp I select camera type as FFMPEG and put the above URL in the source. After configuring the monitor, the source stays red for a ...

I tried something similar and it worked for me. Initially I was trying to run zma for different cameras on 2 different machines. So I introduced a new column in the Monitors table for the IP address of the host where the cameras will be analyzed and streamed from. Then in zmpkg.pl I checked whether ...

Samsung PTZ camera
Hi,
Has anyone configured a Samsung PTZ (network) camera to work with Zoneminder. I am looking at Samsung SPD 3700 PTZ which claims to use the Panasonic PTZ control protocol.
Can this camera be used with zoneminder? Does zoneminder support its remote pan/tilt/zoom functions?

[HELP]: Multiple ZM installs using a single, remote database
Hi guys, First a big thank you to the maker of ZM for creating such an elegant surveillance solution and that too open source :) I am trying to deploy ZM on two separate machines but only one of them has MySQL server running. I want the other (database-less) machine to access the same ZM database on ...
