I tried vlc and can't get it to pick up the stream. The Pixord is a cheapee and one of those that require internet explorer activex.
Zoneminder picks it up with this: ipaddess/getimage?camera=1&fmt=sif
Not to worry tho', I have a VMware WinXP
Thanks,
Jim

zmc high cpu usage with nework camera
This seems to be a popular topic. I am at the point where I think I'm just going to spring for a real DVR for my cameras; have only a 3ghz cpu with only a single PCI slot and maxxed it out with my 4 camera video card - 4 cams at 1fps - so picked up a Pixord network camera on Ebay so to expand the ...

This is an old thread, but for what it's worth, the suggested works for a Pixord p-300 camera. It's not a real good camera (duuh, that's why it was cheap), but it does work under ZM. Haven't tried the audio yet. I don't understand why the camera mfgrs don't document how this is possible to do, but ...

Thanks. That did it. So simple, I am an idiot for not seeing it. Always funny how one can go down so many wrong paths looking for solutions. Not sure how to delete with control key, so just went to webmin/mysql/zm database and edited the user admin to remove it. Agani, thanks. Now to try to add my ...

I am still hunting this problem Am not a http or web guru, but when I view the ZM main console window source, I see this line: <input> and also this one: <td><input><input></td> and this: <td><input></td> The disabled="disabled" looks suspicious. Is this disabled thing causing my grief, and if so ...

"Add New Monitor" greyed out
I have Debian 5 with Zoneminder 1.24.2-2. Four monitors defined and working. I now am trying to add another monitor and cannot because the "Add New Monitor" is not functional. Also cannot "Mark" any monitor and "edit" it. I can change the existing monitors by dlicking on the /dev/video0 tabs. Turned ...

Using filter to create video; a question
I set up a filter to create a video and then delete all images over 5 days old. It works, but there is a change I would like to make and wonder if anyone has encountered this. The way the video (.mpg file) are created is that each event causes a separate mpg file to be created. But, I would like to ...

symbolic causes zm to fail
I created a symbolic link for apache2 like srv ->/m/srv where /m/srv is a separate filesystem. Also changed apache /etc/default-server.conf to allow symlinks; e.g. Options FollowSymLinks SymLinksifOwnerMatch Apache seems to work, at least in it's simplest form - I get "It Works" when I go to the ...
