Hmm - I'm not running into interlacing problems or any image quality problems. The card I have shares four inputs on one bt878 chip. When I run with CAPTURE_PER_FRAME flag set to 0 and try it with two inputs, I get one input dominating both monitors and the second input flickering every once in a ...

FPS Question

Hi Gents, Odd problem - I have the following capture card: http://www.math.mcgill.ca/lebaron/rute/rute/node45.html#SECTION004530000000000000000 I can capture just fine with three monitors running around 9-10 FPS with ZM_CAPTURES_PER_FRAME=0. However, as expected, the three monitors only show whats ...

H.264?

Anyone hear of H.264 coming to linux? Any plans to integrate that into ZM? I hear that compression time is MUCH better than mpeg, but I'm not exactly sure if ZM can support this...

followup

By the way - the images DO record properly - ie. it's not a problem with the capturing (I can see thumbnails) - this has to do with streaming (hence zms).

1.21.4 - Problems Streaming

Hey, I upgraded one of my boxes to 1.21.4 - however there's a problem with streaming the live images via zms. Whenever I go to something with the ZMS daemon - the image stream is broken. Within the apache logs I get the following: ==> servers/apache/logs/access_log <== 192.168.0.44 - - [12/Nov/2005 ...

Sorry for the excess posts - but I keep thinking back to what I ran into - I also saw not only ZMC throwing this memory swap error, but I saw other processes, like sshd, apache, mysql, and others throw similar message errors.

Oh regarding RAM - could be a problem, however I don't believe so - I've had very small captures running with a 512 MB stick, and one card ran fine even when i turned up the resolution on one feed.

I've seen this before - *shudder* - I had a box that just did those messages, and then it would hang. Ports would be open, but they wouldn't respond, needed a cold reboot. Can you post what your set up is? Motherboard/vid card/#inputs/etc that you're using? I had a problem with an asus mobo (K8S-MX ...

The check needs to be explicit for the following scenario: Primary hard drive contains OS + ZM files Secondary hard drive contains just the events dir, in case of HD failure on the events HD, the system doesn't go down, and vice versa. Therefore if zmfilter.pl doesn't check for space on the second ...
