Also.. where do I check the db to see if my paths are correct for my events folder?

Strange.. if I cd into the actual events dir of the one I want to export it works...

What would that mean?

ffmpeg.log is empty.

Switched them all to modect. It required quite a lot of playing with zones but I finally got it. I also disabled the frame server. Seems to be working well.

I have 2 groups setup... Inside & Outside... I have 9 cameras on the inside group and 14 on the outside group. If I select inside and click the total # of events for the hour instead of it showing me those events, it shows me events for the hour for ALL cameras and not the group I'm currently ...

Ended up going with modect and taking the time to test and adjust each camera's zone(s) individually. Getting very good results.
With all 24 on modect, my load is only 3.24 (4 cores) so I'm happy with it.

5 or 10fps seems fine... this has dramatically reduced disk usage.. thanks!

htop shows system really is fine regardless of load average... so I guess it's just something goofy making it report that high.. perhaps with it writing events to a san on my lan vs a local disk... in any case, it is responsive and seems fine.. thanks for the help.

Ok... Right now all 24 of our cams are on mocord and it causes a high load even at 5fps (640x480). Currently using mjpg for better image quality. I like the idea of having "events" when something moves which is why I chose mocord to begin with. The reason I didn't choose modect is that's what I have ...

CentOS5.5 32-bit. Should I load something different? I'm willing to start over if need be...
What's odd to me is, even though my load average is so high everything is still very snappy and responsive.. doesn't appear slow or sluggish at all... I think that's what gets me...
