Update issues on centos 7
After updating from 1.28.1 to 1.29.0 I had to patch zmupdate to quote the passwords used for db users, then grant an index right to the zm user. After this, the script was able to complete and restarting was successful however I could not render images in the web console. Looking through this forum ...

Re: Axis M7016 questions
I found such a good deal on Grandstream GXV3504's that I bought 4. All I can say is they generally work OK once configured but they are buggy and the motion detection/ftp upload is a bit weak. The interface is horrible and poorly designed with only worse help captions written in broken English. If ...

Re: filter on new completed event
Ok that was good to know. I think I could accomplish what I need if I could trigger when an event is complete. That is to say for a given a monitor, when the section length has been reached and the event has its EndTime written to the Events table.
Is that possible?
Thanks!

Re: filter on new completed event
Hi, Yeah you are right, that was vague. What I meant was when setting up an Event Filter, such as the shipped PurgeWhenFull. What I was hoping to do was create a filter that triggered when an event was complete, that is, the end time migrates from null to a value and a new event has been started for ...

Re: filter on new completed event
While I have solved my monitor live view issue, I am still stuck on an approach to order events. Is it really only feasible to have a single scripted event if for example you wanted to encode then delete? I was hoping to encode for archival but delete later to leave the event viewer somewhat ...

Re: Trouble with event viewer
So, I am using Grandstream GXV3504's and a power outage reset these and for some reason they all reverted to 30fps which was overwhelming the monitors even though they were capped to the original setting of 5fps. For the sake of understanding, is it a large task for a monitor to drop frames? Seems ...

filter on new completed event
Is it possible to trigger a filter when an event is complete? Or, does a facility exist to order filter execution? I can not get the event viewer to function so my last approach is provide the events on a share accessible to the users. I would like to encode and remove the event however I am not ...

Trouble with event viewer
I have an instance running on centos 7 x64, resource usage is very low with 1/3 physical ram commit and 1/3 load. If I open up the event list for a monitor and show timeline, the display is extremely responsive however when viewing an event the progression is several times slower than real time and ...

Re: Archival options
Hi, The zm server is running within a vsphere cluster and its not economical to use its storage. I can easily add nfs space, but its all or nothing. It would be nice to allow multiple locations and let an event move data but allow it to be seen by a user when viewing a timeline. Without me hacking ...

Apache auth
We use ldap auth and hence I I have created users in zm to apply the specific settings a given user needs however I get all kinds of intermittent errors with socket files and broken streaming. The http config I am using looks like: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName foo.domain.com ServerAlias foo.domain ...

Archival options
Does zoneminder have any facility to allow nearline storage of data without archiving the events out to a video and deleting them? I need to provide users the ability to review old data however the disk storage for events is insufficient for all the needed retention.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Axis M7016 questions
I see the 7014 is compatible and I doubt this one should be any different but before we ditch a proprietary 16ch analog system for Zoneminder, I was hoping for any assurance if anyone has any experience with it.
Thanks!
Thanks!
