open zmcontrol.pl and change the DEBUG flag to 1, then try tail -f /tmp/zmcontrol.log and see the output while moving your camera.
i had problems with PTZ controls because of wrong speeds and bad permissions on the serial ports, some stty, a chmod 777 and a chmod a+w on them fixed it

in options/debug , there is ZM_RECORD_DIAG_IMAGES, also ZM_RECORD_EVENT STATS is usefull

that typo in the monitor general settings, and also i can't get the checkboxes in the general settings to apply their function (Enable, X10 triggers)

i don't have the box here, i'll check tomorrow! btw can you enable X10 triggers in 1.24.1 (general tab)?

i have problems enabling X10 triggers in the monitor's settings(see my post and try please), maybe it's related ?

just installed 1.23.3 thru get-apt on a kubuntu 8.10 fresh updated installation, the X10 triggers checkbox stays saved in this version/installation, anyone using 1.24.1 can please try and report me if your X10 triggers checkbox stays saved checked?
