Re: Can't connect to ACTi ACM-1231 anymore

Is ZM 1.28.1 able to handle MJPEG streams via remote? I found in the logs that it looks like ZM is failing due to a bad JPEG header. 2015-06-10 21:15:52.619101 zmc_m1 25658 ERR Unable to get response zm_remote_camera_http.cpp 1190 2015-06-10 21:15:52.614321 zmc_m1 25658 ERR Found bogus jpeg header ...

Re: Corruption in my images

Thank you! I tried upgrading to 1.28 and now ZM can't read anything from the camera. I just posted something in the 1.28 forums to try to figure that out. If I can't get that, I'll back off to 1.26 again.

Can't connect to ACTi ACM-1231 anymore

Hi, I've been having corruption issues with 1.26, so I've decided to try 1.28. I did a clean install of 1.28.1, and now I'm unable to get a functional monitor setup for my ACTi ACM-1231. My settings: Source type: ffmpeg Source Path: admin:PASSWORD@192.168.0.11:7070 Remote Method: tried RTP/RTSP and ...

Re: Corruption in my images

Forgot to attach a sample of the corruption I'm seeing. The bottom half is the problem.

Corruption in my images

Hi, I'm seeing some strange corruption in my captured images. Not sure what's causing it, but it appears to confuse the Modect algorithm so I have events all the time. I'm running 1.26.5 on Ubuntu 14.04LTS. My camera is an ACTi ACM-1231 (detailed info below). Any suggestions if I have something ...

I'm also struggling with the exact same problem. I have my camera configured for MPEG4 and unchecked the check for authentication. I can use VLC to connect to it at rtsp://192.168.xxx:7070 I can not find any way to get ZM 1.24.1 to see an image or capture events at that port. I've also configured ...

I've now tried both ZM 1.24.1 and 1.23.3 on two separate machines (one Fedora 10, the other FreeBSD 7.2). I still can't get images to show up on either one, and neither generates any events. I'm using an ACTi camera and I've tried through both rtsp (with 1.24) and remote http using a clever hack ...

Same error message I had posted about in a different thread, "Bogus monitor type 'Ffmpeg'" I pulled the RPM of ZoneMinder. I just tried starting a build from the source, but it looks like I'm going to have to do a fair amount of other digging to get the build to work, even though I'm using Fedora 10 ...

Still can't access shared memory, and no events generating

I'm still trying to sort out why I can't get ZM 1.24.1 working on a Fedora 10 install with an ACTi cam via RTSP. I'm running kernel version 2.6.27.24-170.2.68.fc10.i686, so I shouldn't be seeing the bug with shared mem that's been documented elsewhere. The only thing I see in the logs is: 05/26/2009 ...

OK, I have the system running now.. I found that SELinux was running even though I had thought I'd killed it. Thanks for the ideas. I'm going to dive in and see if I can get the cam working now. I appreciate your help!

Thanks again. I also tried the VLC hack and it's also not working. I think I first need to figure out how to get the ZM console to not show "Stopped". Even with no cameras I can't get this changed. There's not anything in the logs that appears to be of help, either... :?

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check into building ZM to use the ffmpeg headers, thanks. I was using the RPM on Fedora since that seemed like it would "just work". I'm trying to get the ACTi cam to work in RTSP mode. I've successfully connected to it using VLC on a Mac, so I know the RTSP stuff is ...

Bogus monitor type 'Ffmpeg'???

Hi, I'm new to zoneminder so I think it's highly likely this is user error, but I haven't been able to find any fixes here or elsewhere on the net. I'm trying to get zoneminder working with a ACTi ACM-1231 camera. I've just installed zoneminder on a fresh install of Fedora 10. Running 'service ...

Any update for 1.24.x?

Hi, I'm just trying to get ZoneMinder up and running on my freebsd box, but I think I need 1.24 (I need RTSP to access my ACM-1231 cam). I can try to do the port but didn't want to do a bunch of redundant work. From looking at the previous work, a lot of the patches don't seem relevant, so this may ...
