"bb99", I don't have my equipment hooked up at my new apartment, but I don't recall seeing a setting for "Section Length". Also, are you sure the settings are set for seconds and not milliseconds. If this setting is there it might be the solution for my problem. All I want to do is stitch all ...

I don't feel hounded in this forum to keep the thread open like many other forums I've been involved in, but I feel the need to post that I'm currently moving and haven't found time to work on this issue at home. The thread is very much still alive and I'll continue posting once I have settled at ...

I stand corrected! Thanks cordel. Even so, after performing the command: sudo apt-get install php5-cli I was able to run the command: php -i | grep Configure The results were nothing expected or desired. I ran: php -i instead and crawled through the pages to find this: sockets Sockets Support ...

My default settings for buffer tab were these: Image Buffer Size (frames): 40 Warmup Frames: 25 Pre Event Image Count : 10 Post Event Image Count : 10 Stream Replay Image Buffer: 1000 Alarm Frame Count: 1 If I go any higher than the below settings for Image Buffer Size I get no image from the camera ...

Thanks Cordel for all your help. Off topic; I've been tasked with setting up a pool security system for at my college. Because of my enthusiasm in the field of home network cam security I was selected to work on the project. Nothing super important, but I have been comparing Trendnet's IP Pro View ...

Viewing the procedure I followed for installing Zoneminder I see that the necessary PHP component was not included in the "install prerequisites" step. aptitude install build-essential linux-headers-`uname -r` automake perl libnet-ssleay-perl openssl libauthen-pam-perl \ libpam-runtime libio-pty ...

Thanks for pointing me in a path to follow for troubleshooting cordel. The command: php -i | grep Configure returned: The program 'php' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install php5-cli bash: php: command not found So, I guess I somehow missed my php install or ...

Event exists in queue with bogus data

I came back from my brothers wedding and noticed that I had an event in the queue that contained funky data. Attempting to view the motion detected event caused zoneminder to freeze up. Restarting zoneminder does not unfreeze the problem. Have not done much testing since I have to go to work. Here ...

Cannot unselect Linked Monitor

I selected one of my other cameras shown in the Linked Monitor section during one of my troubleshooting sessions. I didn't realize the consequences until after a few days. I have tried to unselect the camera with no success. Does anyone know how to unselect the camera aside from deleting the camera ...

Looks like the post and pre buffer will help me achieve my goal. At least that is the hope. Anyway, I tried increasing the pre and post buffer from their default setting of 10 to around 60. One of the buffers complained about size limitation not to exceed another value on that page. So the answer ...

Increase record time after motion trigger

I have an excessive number of events. The reason is Zoneminder is taking one fluid event and cutting it into 3 or 4 separate events. I hope that isn't confusing anyone. I guess the correct word for this is "splitting", unecessarily. How do you force Zoneminder to record, or remain in alert status ...

I made a major change to try to stomp out at least one error. First I recalculated my settings for shmmax. Originally I had thought only 2 cameras for testing with lower than actual resolution and with no 10% fudge factor. I recalculated with the proper recommended formula: #kernel.shmmax ...
