Thanks,
Ralf

Synchonous recording

Hi, I have 4 cameras attached to the capture card. Now I want that they start synchronous. So, as soon as I select monitor 1 to start recording, monitor 2, 3 and 4 should start as well. I guess that "Linked Monitor" has something to do with it. However, when selecting monitor 2,3,4 as "Linked ...

date/time in filename of captured image

Hi,

I would like to know, if it is possible to add the date/time value of the captured image into the filename:

Code: Select all

../events/monitor1/23/001-20090714T125834-capture.jpg
for an image which has been captured at 12:58:34, 14/07/2009.

Thank you very much,
Ralf

Ok, if captured with 40fps, all works fine. Will buy a capture card with 4 chips.

mencoder to concat all captured jpgs

Dear All, I need to generate a video out of the captured jpg images which zomeminder generates in the /var/cache/zoneminder/events/... sub-directories. For me the easiest way to do this in an automatic way, is to set up a cron job which generates one video every day and than deletes all jpgs which ...

Schedule video export

Dear All, I just start to work with ZoneMinder. Very nice software, good work! I'm just puzzled how to automatically export recorded footages. I know that I can do that via filters, but how to do it in a scheduled manner. cron? But what would be the exact command to export all recordings as mpg ...

We need to observe a room from four different angles. Most CCTV solutions offer you the option to see four input streams on one screen at runtime But in our research we need to analyse the footage in retrospect. And not only one angle but all four angles. It would be very inconvenient to handle four ...

Hi kingofkya, Wow, that was quick! Sounds all good. In regard to merge four input videos in one AVI. Wouldn't it be possible to: 1. export AVI files for each input and (which could be done by ZoneMinder) 2. then to merge them into one AVI file (which should be done by another tool) I'm not really ...

Fast and easy solution

Dear All, I'm working on a research project where we need to record activities 24/7. At the end of each week we analyze the recordings. The cameras and the DVRs have been installed by a security company. Now, the four cameras have been installed well, but they sold us very bad DVRs. Those DVRs may ...
