Sure, it might, but it didn't, which is why I posted the question.

The last post on the topic was 6 months ago and only mentioned that the poster had given up.

Audio Support

Has anybody figured out how to add Audio to ZM?

At this point, even a separate audio file would be useful.

Anybody have any thoughts/suggestions?

FWIW, I had the exact same problem (on Suse), and "aa-complain *" made the vanishing socket problem vanish. Since the box doesn't run any non-ZM processes and isn't publicly accessible, I don't really care if it's running SELinux (in fact, I'd prefer that it not, since any overhead is wasted ...

try using mplayer on the 8001 stream see if it tells you what format it is, i would assume it wouldn't be mjpeg as i can't see them using such a horrid web server it cant do mjpeg through itself properly. mplayer http://192.168.42.175:8001 MPlayer SVN-r29411-4.3.3 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team Playing ...

Stardot 5MP Webcam performance?

After following a bunch of dead ends, I finally got Zoneminder working with a StarDot NetCam SC 5MP camera, however the performance seems to be poor, and I'm looking for a sanity check and hopefully some help. I'm getting 3 fps @ 1600x1200 px, but the camera is advertised as being able to handle at ...

Well some other settings you may want to look at: Maximum alarmed pixels / max blob size as obviously these will cause a large quantity of the image to go alarm (maybe more than possible otherwise) so would be a good option. Number of frames to cause an alarm (set on the source) if they only last ...

Bugs! (Flying, not software)

For some reason, I get a lot of bugs (moths, etc.) flying in front of a camera that contains an IR illuminator. The bugs cause alarms. Can anybody give me a hint which magic setting would reduce the sensitivity for fast moving objects that take up a lot of real-estate (because they're close to the ...
