Yum update works normally on Fedora, it's just the added programs that aren't a part of the standard fedora package that seem to cause me problems. Zoneminder would work with this if only the link to the RPM's site was working (I think)!

Yes I agree - just I was talking about the 12V twin wire from the transformer to the camera - and should have also pointed out NOT mains wires. What I was trying to prevent was a mains transformer being located anywhere outside.

Just to add a few notes after trying various places with this camera. Interference is the main problem - the receiver has an infinitely variable knob which allows it to be tuned to the camera frequency. This is a good idea. However as mentioned in my last post, any interference means unwanted modect...

Thanks Phil works fine now - using older Perl setting.

I'm finding the whole program very cool, trying to set up the camera to detect only what I want will be my next challenge....!

ZM_MESSAGE_ADDRESS question

:?:
I set both the ZM_EMAIL_ADDRESS field and the ZM_MESSAGE_ADDRESS to an email adress which worked. I then changed the ZM_MESSAGE_ADDRESS to email a different address, however both emails are still being sent to the orginal address. Could anyone tell me if there is a way to alter this?

Hi Flash I am just testing a small wireless (or wired) camera I bought on ebay recently. Just got it working with Zoneminder this week. It's a cheap option, granted, but is pretty neat in that it has inbuild IR LED's which seem to be bright enough for local coverage. Check out the link.. http://cgi....

:) :) :) :) :) I realised after posting that MIME::Lite was the next problem, just got a bit excited! Had trouble with the MIME::Lite module with yum, so did a tar.gz instead. Email & FTP both working very well now. Lots to learn, I think it's been the equivalent of 1 term at college for my brai...

Thank you. Also yum installed:

IO-Zlib
Archive-Tar
Archive-Zip

Now zmdc.log shows zmfilter.log starts ok. So far has not yet produced a zmfilter.log file.
