Hi check few things first... nr 1, look near top of web console, is zoneminder running or is it stopped? What is the function of your current monitors : none,monitor,record...? do a chmod 777 /dev/video* and restart zoneminder service...does this make monitors green/orange again if i were you ...

open up terminal, do a df -i
this reflects the inode(s) usage for your filesystem...
if it is running out when hdd capacity is only 50% then you have a few options...

Hi decibel83, can you post the exact model number of your mobo? You mentioned you changed fps rate on network cams themselves...my question to you : is the lagging/delay the same for the network cams as for your rca cam?

I agree with Ziggy. In all cases i found that the delay in stream was due to hardware used for pc where zoneminder is installed on. Even though system monitoring werent showing that the CPU/RAM were being utilized to its fullest... the problem/reason lies within motherboard chipset Hope this makes ...
