Re: Zoneminder fails to save over half the frames for an Eve
Well I just realized one frame is 3MB, so that's 92MB/sec. Realistically I see the jpg's in the 800K range, so that's 30MB/sec. With a few camera's capturing to disk at the same time that could be a problem. I been thinking all along Zoneminder should save the stream not jpg frames, this might ...

Zoneminder fails to save over half the frames for an Event
Zoneminder 1.26.5 openSuSE 12.1 I have a Vivotek FD8134V camera, 1280x800, among others, that is streaming at 30fps. Zoneminder tells me so in the log, says capturing and analyzing at 30fps. So why is it that when Zoneminder saves an Event it not saving 30fps? It's saving from 4 to 30fps, what ever ...

Did the Analysis Algorithms change?
So did the analysis algorithms change in 1.26.x verses 1.25.0? Specifically 1.26.3. All my outdoor cameras are staying in Alert and Alarm thus recording way longer. I'm talking 12-15 seconds before to 1000, 2000, 3000, sometimes even more seconds now. My cameras didn't change. No zones were changed ...

Re: 1.26.4 Error while decoding frame errors
Suit yourself, but I currently have 9 IP cameras on my 1Gb Ethernet LAN, including a 5 Megapixel Axis and 5 1.X Megapixel cams, and all but one (the Dahua) are streaming MJPEG at full frame-rate to a single ZoneMinder box and I'm not even coming close to maxing out my available bandwidth. What do ...

Re: 1.26.4 Error while decoding frame errors
Same problem here. Upgraded from 1.25.0 using rtsp mpg4 there to 1.26.4 and all 4 of my Vivotek cameras (IP8332, FD8134V, PZ7132, & FE8172V) encountered the "Error while decoding frame" problem. I don't know about the other two, but the IP8332 and the FD8134 both work fine with 1.26.4 in MJPEG mode ...

Re: 1.26.4 zmupdate.pl failed to update 'Monitors' table
Interesting. Never had to do that before and all the previous MySQL updates worked. If they wouldn't have I wouldn't have a 'Logs' table and then things probably wouldn't have worked at all anyways... Now I know.

shmget problem due to *code* not shmmax/shmall
Have been getting a lot of these for a long time for different cameras: Jul 10 11:15:06 server zmc_m12[25882]: WAR [Buffer overrun at index 148, image 42398, slow down capture, speed up analysis or increase ring buffer size] Jul 10 11:15:09 server zmc_m13[6891]: WAR [Buffer overrun at index 159 ...

H264 Remote problems
Most of my cameras are mpeg4 and H264, when I set the cameras to mpeg4 and ZoneMinder's Source to Remote and use the rtsp URL they work fine. However, when I set the cameras to H264 and try to do the rtsp connection there is an decoding error on every frame. If I switch the Source to ffmpeg having ...

Re: ZoneMinder Remote Camera Viewer for Android Phones
So how are you all setting it up. It has an option to add camera but obviusly http://192.168.1.x/zm is not the url for the individual camera stream? Also does this work with a AVI or mpeg stream or does it have to be jpeg which looks awful and slow on my home pc web browsers? Thanks. If you're ...

Re: ZoneMinder Remote Camera Viewer for Android Phones
I'd be interested in hearing what you find as the pros/cons while comparing them. I've using the free version and has all the functionality I need. The only limitation of the free version is streaming 4 cameras simultaneously verses 16 but hey 4 cameras at one time on a smart phone display is about ...

Re: ZoneMinder Remote Camera Viewer for Android Phones
IMO the one to use is "IP Cam Viewer Pro". I have been using it for quite a long time and it works very well with ZM. A free version is available but you cant go wrong for $3.99 for the Pro version. Me and my wife both have it on our phones and we use it all the time. https://market.android.com ...
