Looking for: Install Guide for CentOs 5.5

Ok so this doesn't work anymore.

http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/CentOS

once you goto run make for ZM it dies with errors.

Does anyone have an update guide that works or the versions of ffmpeg that are required to make this work?

Shared Memory

Hi all,

I did a search around but couldn't seen to find a complete answer.

I have a P4 2.8 CPU with 1.5GB of DDR2 and 1 TB SATA drive. I was wondering what the best shared memory settings are for ZM.

Thanks.

State Alarms in Montage View

I was just wondering how come the alarms that display in the montage view seem unstable and unreliable.

They only seem to work properly in IE but stop working after awhile.

Using them in Firebox or Opera they work once or twice and then stop.

For the poster who asked where I seen that each should get at least 5fps http://www.camsecure.co.uk/Zoneminder.html which is listed in the shop link at the top. First card on the page is the exact same one I have. This means that if you are using all 4 inputs you will have a maximum of 6 frames per ...

Right now ZM is only showing 1.27 per port with all 4 in use Where did you read that??? in a seller/maker pamflet??? yeah right... 1.27 is quite right... when I has a one chip 4 channels, I only used 2 channels per card, installed 2 cards so I had 4 ...

FPS Not right?

I just installed ZM today with a Pico2000 card. From what I read it should give me 5fps per port. Right now ZM is only showing 1.27 per port with all 4 in use. I have a 2nd card which 1 port is in use and it's only showing 5.5FPS.

Is there something I need to adjust to at least get it upto 5fps.

Ahhhh the Remote Host Path field is not setup to be long enough to put in the entire URL.

It gets cut off at: /dsr-cgi/GetDSRImage.cgi?camera=1&width=320&height=240&username=

Is that something I can fix myself?
