Thanks Dave , got that part working now , now I just have the problem of having the following at the top of the webpage
ZoneMinder Console - Stopped - v0.9.16
even when I change its status to Start dosen't seem to do anything (still says Stopped) ..

Well this is a strange problem cant find any mention of it anywhere either ... I have just installed ZM on a debian box , seemed to all go fine but when I try and browse to the /zm.php file via any browser (and I mean any and on all platforms) instead of loading the php the browser trys to or does ...

Did you end up getting that AXIS camera going with zoneminder all right ?
and also where did you purchase it from , we are in AU too and I am trying to find good prices for them ... also anyone got any ideas as to the USB range of most USB based cams ?
