OK, now ain't that a pisser. I double checked my settings under the options menu and everything looked as it should, right? BUT!!!.... When I went in to double check the settings in zm.conf, the variables were not set! WTF???? I "resaved" the file to no avail. So I manually set the variables in the ...

Let's stay off that other thread. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I was hoping it was that easy as I checked that last night during troubleshooting. Still no joy...<sigh> Are you pointing to the directory defined in DIR_SOUNDS under options->paths->DIR_SOUNDS. The ? after each discription can ...

[SOLVED] OK, So It's Running on Fedora13...
Dangit! Everything looks good even! It's recording events like it should when set to "Modect" (on Ubuntu it simply stopped recording events for some strange reason). It's even going into "Alarm" state...but it's not playing my wav file! I had this problem under Ubuntu once and I believe it was ...

Search up "flowers for candy fedora 12". I've been using it for 4 1/2 months now and this is rock solid! Nice walk-through, thanks. I installed everything last night and ZM is running...except no alarm sound. The alarm is triggering now like it should....just no alarm sound!!!...GRRR!!!. Everything ...

Well, as it turns out, I already had it set for JPEG. I futzed w/ it awhile more and decided to do a fresh install. I wiped the partition, installed xubuntu 9.10, and followed the instructions in the wiki, and was up and running in no time (excellent instructions BTW...thanks! :) ). I'm running ZM 1 ...

Camera Feed(s) Lock up???
OK this is weird.... I've got 2 cameras (IP Foscam 8904) both working just fine. Both are configured for "Motion Detect" with zones and alarms set. They work great...for awhile and then they "lock up". The weird thing is that the event(s) are still recorded (and playback confirms) but I see no video ...

Greetings and a question regarding alarms sounds...
Greetings all! Just installed ZM 1.24.2 w/ a Foscam 8904 IP Camera. Everything is working great w/ one exception. I can't for the life of me get ZM to sound an alarm (WAV file) when it detects motion. The events are working correctly and I've got the wav file in the appropriate subdirectory ( /var ...
