problems with two inputs on generic 1 chip 4 port bt848 card
Hello, my current setup holds two cameras on one generic 1 chip 4 port bt848 card. It seemed to work like a charm, but during the last weeks I came across several problems. If I activate more than one input at the same time the picture seems to get worse - could this be an interlacing issue because ...

The gentoo system is console only and because of this if have tried zoneminder directly (watching from a second machine). Using the LiveCD I tried Xawtv and TVtime as well but was not really sure how to use them properly. So I tried zoneminder through firefox on localhost and got the best pic so far ...

Thank your for your advices. At the moment I think I am going to use analogue cameras because the whole package seems to be cheaper or deliver better quality at the same price. What range can I expect to be covered without a problem and without using BNC->TP converters. Is it possible to reach 20m ...

How does ZM react upon losing connection to IP-Cam?
Hello, I am currently working with Zoneminder on an old P3-600 Server System holding a bt8x8 Tv-Card where I have connected a small cam. Because of the fact that my users have problems handling the web-interface (they often deleted the monitor...) I was looking for a way to arm/disarm the motion ...

good god - I think that this was the hardest piece of work that I have done so far - my init script still isn't working (or perhaps wiping out the other errors killed this errors as well) - but I don't really need it anymway ;) I wonder if there is anyone who managed to get zoneminder running using ...

howto get init script on gentoo?
Hi there! I just emerged the zm ebuild that comes with portage and fixed several things to get it running (permission stuff, missing event folder, etc.). zmpkg.pl start works fine but as far as I have read the documentation there should be an init script as well to bring it up every time the system ...

Hi there! I am actually using a system I built with the latest zm livecd. It works very well and gives me exactly what I was looking for...
