This usually has to do with the version of ffmpeg installed... do an 'ffmpeg' and paste the output.

Take a look at 'NoDect' mode for a monitor (http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... onitor_Tab). The wiki has information on triggering manually.

I have made 2 commits to SVN that resolves some security issues with the eyeZm/XML Plugin, as well as changing the official name of the plugin to eyeZm. What kind of specs does your system have? Also, I'm not sure, but I think your system has to be restarted for the kernel memory parameters to take effect, or you need to run sysctl/sysconfig (something like that). Also make sure /dev/videox has full permissions. FWIW, try starting 'small' with ZM ...
