Faster viewing of mpeg/asf or other video streams

I have used Windows based surveillance systems and they seem to be able to display more cameras at a time with more real-time like viewing. Does ZM send all frames received to remote viewer? If so, should it? Or should there be a way to drop a certain percentage of frames before sending to viewer ...

I was able to get mpeg streaming to work using Prada's suggestion of using asf streaming instead of swf. It's still weird that swf worked fine for the IP cameras but not the capture card cameras. If I could figure out an efficient way of posting all my settings for others, I would. I have it in a ...

Thanks Pada. I am using /dev/video0 and /dev/video1. As I said, the jpeg video works ok - just a little slow. mpeg streaming does not work for capture card cameras but it does work for the ip cameras. ZM has been a monster to get working at all but I keep going back to it because it has more ...

fuzzy or blotchy video.

I have noticed that the video quality displayed by zm is a little fuzzy/blotchy. However, it is not fuzzy/blotchy if you go directly to the IP camera. It always starts out looking better but then gets fuzzy. Movement really seems to mess it up.
