Re: Montage view
That's an impressive amount of work, thank you! I use Firefox but it's good to know I can dedicate Chrome or Edge to run this.

Montage view
Hello all. I've been running ZM for over 10 years and love it. A few days ago, the ZM drive started to sputter so I decided to start fresh with a new drive. As expected, it has been a lot of work putting everything back together but I'm very impressed with the new features to add and configure the ...

v1.30.3 on Ubuntu 14.04 - All good!
Hi all, Seeing some of the issues being posted regarding the v1.30.3 upgrade, I wanted to pass on that mine upgraded great. I run ZM on Ubuntu 14.04 and used Webmin to do the upgrade - entirely hands-off, zero issues. More: I'm running ZM on an old laptop with an Intel i3, 2-core CPU and 4GB of RAM ...

Re: How do I extend motion detection alarm duration
Hi. Check your monitor buffer tab. More specifically, the pre and post buffers determine how much is recorded before the event (for context) and after the event. See here for reference: http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/sta ... nitor.html

Re: Problem on adding cameras
Que tal Reinaldo?
Assuming you can watch your camera video when connecting to it directly, did you try a different browser when using ZM? Firefox supports jpeg. Check WEB_H_CAN_STREAM & WEB_H_STREAM_METHOD in options.

Missing timestamp/zone in rec events
Hello, I recently upgraded to 1.30.0 (on Ubuntu 14.04) and noticed two issues with my recorded events: 1. Timestamps, which show fine in monitors, are not being displayed when playing back recorded events. I would prefer not to print the timestamp when saving the image since I want the flexibility ...

Re: Zone definition region points
Hi all, to bring this to a close, I ended up upgrading VirtualBox host and extension pack from 4.3 to 5.1. This cut CPU utilization quite significantly. I'm still getting very poor frame rate and CPU is still higher than what it was under 1.28 but this is workable.
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

Re: Zone definition region points
Hi. When set to stream, I leave those fields blank. When set to snapshot, I put 8 for max, 15 for alarm. The HD camera is the only one that can limit FPS and I have that one set to 10 on the camera, blank in ZM. Thanks for the tip on analyze, I hadn't looked into that yet but it makes perfect sense ...

Re: Zone definition region points
Hello Isaac and thanks for your help. I have 4 cameras active with 3 of them running motion detection at night, the 4th remains on monitor only. Three are low-res, one is 720p @ 512K bit rate, 10 fps. I managed to cut some of the utilization by switching from /videostream.cgi to /snapshot.cgi on ...

[Solved] Zone definition region points
Thanks both for your help. I upgraded ubuntu to 14.04 first then installed zm 1.30 from iconnor's repository. Other than some minor tweaking like adding /zm to /cgi-bin/nph-zms path and installing ffmpeg, it upgraded fine. I was pleasantly surprised when the upgrade did not eat my SQL db or deleted ...

Re: Zone definition region points
Thanks for your comment. I think the issue is related to mootools but mine seems configured correctly. I've even tried several versions of mootools but that didn't help. I noticed that switching to a different skin, ie: flat, does update the zone image sometimes. Do you know if upgrading from 1.28 ...

Zone definition region points
Hello, When I try to define new region points in either an existing or new zone, the video/grid is cut and does not reshape to the points defined. I have tried different camera brands, models, resolution, upgrade OS and ZM to 28.1 - nothing has worked. I've had this issue for years. I was able to ...

Re: Single cam view no longer works
Hi. Just tested this again and have narrowed things a bit, though having done any debugging - hoping someone else has seen a similar issue. I went back to my previous build with v1.28.0 and everything works fine. I upgraded the normal OS/security stuff (kernel, etc) while leaving ZM at v1.28.0 and ...
