Its a bttv pci card with an analog camera on it.
Someone must have seen this type of picture, surely.

Anything* BT878 works well. For 4 channels, get a card with 4 BT878 chips on it - one chip per video channel. For not a lot more money it will be vastly easier to get watchable video on it. Does everything work ok when you remove the /etc/modprobe.d/bttv.conf file ?
I'd try removing various options from the file until it worked, and see if you can figure out which option exactly was giving it a fright.
Also check in /var/log/Xorg.0.log and see if theres any hint there.

Hi folks. Running 1.23.3 on Ubuntu from the repository, and I have no sound working on the client browser. Everything else works great.
