Does unbutu 10.1 not have a modprobe.conf file or is it stored in a dirfferent location as i cant seem to find it?

Hi, Ive recently installed umbuntu and zoneminder and have got into the config screen where i can add monitors. But the problem i have is i cannot get my pico 2000 card to show anything on screen.
