the libmp3lame.so file is definitely in /usr/local/lib. LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to that directory and there's several libs in there: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 167322 May 24 22:46 liblzo.a -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 651 May 24 22:46 liblzo.la* -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 390606 Jul 12 14:09 libmp3lame.a -rwxr-xr ...

thanks for the tip. I hadn't connected the shared memory problem with that entry in the FAQ. But it worked fine.

I still have the other errors though. Any ideas?

Lots of startup problems

Hi, I've recently had to rebuild my Linux box from scratch and lost my previously running Zoneminder installation (version 1.17 I think). I've just installed ZM 1.19.4 and after solving all the usual missing perl module problems I'm stuck with some errors I don't know how to solve. When I start the ...

Re: zmfilter.pl errors running filter

I changed the filter from using last day to using -1 day and it now works. Thanks Phil.

What puzzles me though is that the filter works fine when run via the web interface but not when run automatically. i guess this is the difference between the Perl and PHP date formats.

Russell.

zmfilter.pl errors running filter

Hi, I have a filter that I have defined to delete old events. It's not the only filter and I now have the filters working correctly. However when zmfilter tries to run this filter automatically I get errors in the log file: Use of uninitialized value in localtime at /usr/local/bin/zmfilter.pl line ...

Re: zmfilter doesn't upload any images

Hi Phil, thanks for the advice. I've tried taking the space out of the name of the monitor but I still get the same problem. I think the problem has something to do with directory path names. Clearly the zmfilter.pl script is expecting the images to be in a directory under the one that it is running ...

Re: zmfilter doesn't upload any images

update. I added a debug statement to the zmfilter.pl script to show the directory that it's reading the images from: image path is Front Garden/3536/*.jpg Creating upload file '/tmp/Front Garden-3536.tar.gz' Cowardly refusing to create empty archive! at /usr/local/bin/zmfilter.pl line 45 5 Tar error ...

zmfilter doesn't upload any images

Hi, I'm having a problem with zmfilter. It tries to create empty archives to upload to my ftp server. I've obviously missed a setting somewhere. Any ideas where? Here's an extract from the log: Deleting event 3476 Creating upload file '/tmp/Front Garden-3475.tar.gz' Cowardly refusing to create empty ...

Re: False Positives

Some very useful suggestions there. Thanks chaps. I think I may have misunderstood preclusive zones. I now have my view divided into 5 zones. The top and bottom 1 percent are defined as preclusive zones. The next 15-20% are defined as inactive and finally the middle section of the view is active ...

Re: False Positives

Hi Phil, I've just done as you suggested and throttled back the max fps to see what happens. I'll have to wait until tomorrow now as the strange flickering/colour events only happen during the day time. It's a bit weird as bits of the picture appear in the wrong colours and in the wrong place ...

Re: False Positives

Hi Victor, thanks for your reply. I think the Warm-up Frames parameter is only used on startup whereas the problems I'm getting are whilst the system is running normally. My alarms are triggers on events that last for only 1 frame regardless of the number of frames per second that I'm capturing ...

False Positives

Hi, Does anyone know how I can get Zoneminder to ignore events that last for only one frame and only trigger on longer events? I'll explain my problem. I've got Zoneminder up and running but I am encountering two main problems when it detects an event despite there being no movement in the frame. In ...
