I'm missing events with v1.36.35 and ZMES.
Last time I tried 1.37 (beta) it didn't work, and I'm afraid to try it again.

Re: Skips alarms
Yeah. I'm missing lots of events with ZMES. I thought it was because I'm stupid. And the events I do catch start too late on high-rez (triggered by lo-rez), even with Pre Event Image Count set to 20 frames. Post Event Image Count = 20 seems to work, but Pre doesn't. I tried setting Pre to 40, but ...

Re: Getting Camera Events into ZM
Ok, I see.
But, I have about a half-billion of these on monitor 7:
eb 28 06:47:49 reticulum zmc_m7[253757]: WAR [zmc_m7] [non increasing dts, fixing. our dts 14840832 stream 1 last_dts 14840960 difference 128 last_duration 1024. reorder_queue_size=0]

Re: Getting Camera Events into ZM
It's not responding to camera alarms.
The lo cameras seem to be recording continuously even as they are set to Mocord. ES doesn't seem to be having any effect after all. Every Event has zero Alarm frames. I don't understand this. I did test ZMES before I activated it and no errors.

Re: Getting Camera Events into ZM
Wow, ZMES seems to be working! I've set it to disregard my hi-def streams and only watch lo-def. But for each event in lo-def, the Cause is "Continuous". And the only thing happening is rain. (Seattle) I don't understand this. One hi-def monitor is getting triggered by its lo-def monitor on cars ...

ALPR Back From The Dead!
I know you've tried, and lord knows I've tried, but the fact is they stopped working on ALPR eight years ago and there's nothing anyone can do about it. :P First of all IANAC. ('I am not a Coder') But I have run Linux to the extremes since 1997, and I'm currently running Debian 12.9. I have managed ...

Getting Camera Events into ZM
I have been unsuccessful at making any AI/ML work in ZM, so at this point am ready to resort to the camera raising alerts. They're older Dahua IPC-HDW5449TM-SE-LED with 2021 firmware (they error when I try to update), so they're pretty dumb. I believe I need to use Onvif in ZM to get these events ...

Re: zm_videostore.cpp warning on 1.36.18, was also present on 1.36.17
Finally out of desperation I changed network method from TCP to UDP ('Method' under 'Source' in the Monitor settings) and the issue was instantly fixed for all 3 of my monitors/cameras. Not sure if this is unique to my setup but thought i'd share in case it can help anyone else. Thanks Hmm, ZM 1.36 ...

I never could get 1.37 to work properly on Debian with nginx. 1.36 works fine.

Re: Questions on events
1. Probably in Options.
2. Well it's called ZONEMinder, because it minds zones. You can adjust the zones for each monitor to any trapezoidal or pentagoheximal shape you need, to ignore areas you don't care about and reduce CPU. There are different types of zones you can add. RTFM.

Re: Best Practices for Optimizing ZoneMinder 1.36.x Performance with Multiple High-Resolution Cameras
{... and everyone holds their breath ...} At least turn off jpg. And set one monitor for the hi stream and one for lo. Set hi to NoDect and lo to MoCord. Link hi to lo so it triggers when lo does; hi does not analyze, it only records when lo triggers. Set hi to Camera Passthrough and lo to Encode ...

Re: Best Practice/ Optimizing, redux
Ok, ZM v1.36.35 is running just fine so far. Same everything except new mariadb and old ZM. /etc/nginx/sites-available/zoneminder.conf is the same as before. Storage is the same.
There's some problem with 1.37.

Re: Best Practice/ Optimizing, redux
Compiled my first Rust program . Haven't tried to use it yet. Checked every aspect of my ZM VM and all is quiet, and ZM still isn't working. Networking on the cameras interface is running at 13.2 Mb/s with two high-def and two low-def streams... it's a 1GB LAN. https://i.imgur.com/uJJWjVq.jpeg Looks ...
