Re: RTSP camera not working
Mea Culpa. I was testing 1.37.28 on my backup machine where I thought I had run the new camera under 1.37.3 so to be sure I copied the database from my primary system and re-installed 1.37.3 and it didn't work. Turns out that I hadn't installed ffmpeg on the backup machine but, for some reason this ...

Re: RTSP camera not working
Not a zone problem. The camera isn't working at all with 1.37.28, nor was it with 1.37.20, but it is running fine on 1.37.3 and, unless I am missing something, the configurations are the same, although the later versions present the configuration slightly differently.

RTSP camera not working
Earlier this year I bought a Foscam FI9912P and got it working OK with Zoneminder 1.37.3 - despite there being a post suggesting the rtsp and 1.37 has problems. Since then I've tried a number of the later versions of 1.37 and cannot get it to work, even though the setup is the same. There are a ...

Re: /api/host folder missing
Once I realised that cake does the work within the api and that the missing folder is effectively a part of cake I eventally managed to get things working. It probably doesn't help that I am using OpenSUSE and I had to look closely at the configuration plus there is no package for apcu_bc for Suse ...

Re: /api/host folder missing
Thank you for the pointer. It's starting to make more sense now but I haven't yet got it working.

Re: /api/host folder missing
Now I am even more confused. In the api documentation it says to get the api version to use the command "curl http://server/zm/api/host/getVersion.json". If there is no host directory then how does Apache know where to look?

Re: /api/host folder missing
I'm not sure I understand how making changes to the Apache config will link things into Zoneminder when they aren't even on my machine. I keep reading that I should follow the installation guide and I've seen the section about the Apache config but that doesn't mention a host directory either.

/api/host folder missing
I know I am unusual as I take zoneminder from source but I've been doing that for 10 years and more. I have jut recently started using openHAB and noticed a Zoneminder binding so I thought I'd have a look. However, the binding says it can't get the version number and on closer inspection I find that ...

Gapless event screen slow to update event information
Something I noticed a little while ago and thought it might have a simple explanation but now I think it might be related to the screen refresh problem, which I only noticed since moving to 1.36.xx. This time it is when playing events back as gapless. The event ID at the top of the screen remains as ...

Re: Gapless events stop replaying
I may have found one of the reasons this was happening. I have a script which was inadvertently issuing a restart periodically by running zmpkg.pl but that seems to have caused some errors. Since correcting the script the problem appears to have gone or at least diminished.

Thank you for that little nugget. I'll move zmaudit to cron.

Re: Why is rows per page up to 200 and then all
Following a previous comment about deleting files from disc, that is what I did yesterday as I have over 2000 to remove. I have zmaudit running but it had not tidied up the database and I had to run it from a command prompt to remove the database entries.

I have seen more instances of #2 and #3 and the logs do not show any error, just opening and closing events

It seems as though the limit is around 570 rows.

Re: Why is rows per page up to 200 and then all
I think having several options is worth having rather than the old one where you had to go to options to make a change so the general principle is good. However adding the facility to set your own values would be very helpful.
