Re: Camera SV3C in Zoneminder
I did: rtsp://<IP>:554/12 It's worth noting that I'm getting wicked smearing. Not sure what's that from. EDIT: Per this issue: https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/issues/323 ... I'm trying this: rtsp://<IP>:554/12?tcp I just added '?tcp' to the query string and things seem somewhat better ...

Re: Webcam on separate machine
You're preaching to the choir, rockedge. I do that myself. This is the wife's windows box though. And it's the closest computer to the camera I'm running. To be honest, although I got it working in ZM (using yawcam on her windows machine) there's such an incredible amount of delay that it's not ...

Thanks, theforce!!!!!
That works!
Does that mean that those cameras' respective events will now be recorded onto the "new" box instead of the other one?
Seems that way.

ZM on 2 different computers (same network). Share cameras?
Is there a way to share cameras between ZM installations? The 2 computers are on the same local network using 'local' cameras (i.e. /dev/video0) I'd like to share the cameras of one install with the other. I'm well versed in networking, etc., so the basics aren't needed here. I'd just like to know ...

Re: Kubuntu 10.04, bt878 black screen, zoneminder 1.24.2 [SO
I ended up installing 11.04 (standard gnome ubuntu.....not kubuntu) then upgrading to 11.10 immediately after and decided to try things out. ....and things work! Same video card and everything. I did reset my BIOS to its default settings but I don't feel like that was the culprit since I did that ...

Huh. Interesting. Here's the output of 'proc/interrupts' on the box with my working card (different hardware and software. This box runs 11.04 Gnome on some sort of HP.) 0: 1869297 XT-PIC-XT-PIC timer 1: 10 XT-PIC-XT-PIC i8042 2: 0 XT-PIC-XT-PIC cascade 5: 61761 XT-PIC-XT-PIC ndiswrapper, eth0 6: 2 ...

Kubuntu 10.04, bt878 black screen, zoneminder 1.24.2
Hello all. I'm doing this in Kubuntu 10.04 with Zoneminder 1.24.2. I have a bt878 card that's doing everything but showing me video. (It's only showing a black screen.) In short, the text on the zoneminder main page is green and looks like everything should be working. However, after clicking on the ...

SVAT VU301-C- setup question
Not too sure what the correct settings are for this camera. I've got 4 of them running into the bt878a though. I'd like to use them with the logitech c525 (usb) if at all possible. Here's the page for the camera's settings : http://www.svat.com/productDisplay.php?id=5036&categoryNumber=3&tabID=6 Any ...

Re: logitech c525 works in mjpg streamer but not in zm?
Mods. Please...... About these newbie posts being "too spammy".... That setting seems 100% backwards in terms of who it's working against. Wouldn't most new posts be about their settings and those posts would contain "offsite links"? I've got this working (I think, anyway) and I just tried to post ...

Re: logitech c525 works in mjpg streamer but not in zm?
Nice!
To be honest, I even looked through that thread earlier and apparently missed those settings.
I'm definitely getting something now.
However.....
Where is this elusive "/cgi/bin" he speaks of?
Thanks, bb99!

logitech c525 works in mjpg streamer but not in zm?
Ok...I have a really old, pentium3 733mhz computer and am trying to run one usb webcam (logitech c525) with zoneminder. I can view the (remote...not local) stream using localhost on port 8080 and action equals "stream" just fine (NOTE: putting this in link form was tripping the spam filter). The ...
