Re: POE camera that does not require java, app, windows etc
When you say to lock down is it because this is some weird Chinese one that has malware in it? Is there any chance of that malware spreading to my machine, ex: via the web interface? I do plan to setup a dedicated vlan for the cameras where only the ZM server will have access to but I want to make ...

POE camera that does not require java, app, windows etc
Looking for recommendation for a ZM compatible 48v poe outdoor/indoor camera that has a simple web interface that does not require Windows software, Java or ActiveX or anything like that. I run Linux, and also use a custom rom on my phone, so don't want to have to deal with apps either. They are ...

Re: A few questions
So I left it overnight to see what would happen. The UI is barely responsive, it just keeps acting like it's loading but nothing happens and the server load is over 1 so seems it's caught up in an infinite loop of some sort. What did I do wrong with this install? Is there a yum package somewhere to ...

A few questions
I've been looking at screenshots, and it seems I have lot of missing features in my install, is there specific components I need to install separately? For example, I don't have the "cycle / Montage" link on the main page. I also do not have the ability to set monitor zones, it looks like there's a ...

Re: So is this fit for production?
Yeah I was purposely interrupting it as a test (well the first time, not sure about the second). But why is it that it does not automatically try to reconnect? If I went straight to the camera's interface it only took a few seconds to start showing the image again so I know it's not the camera. I ...

Re: Is it possible to view zoneminder on a playbook?
I got it working, I had to set it to AVI mode. jpeg mode does not seem to work for the playbook.

So is this fit for production?
I've been wanting to setup cameras around my property, but so far, I'm not sure if ZM is really fit for production. 1: If a camera is unplugged, it does not auto recover. It will just start to crap out, and require to restart both apache and zoneminder 2: I left a single camera overnight, and it ...

Is it possible to view zoneminder on a playbook?
I'm trying it and it's not working, page just acts like it's loading forever. Is there anything special I need to do for it to work?

Re: Web interface keeps showing as "stopped"
Got it running thanks to this thread: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=18359&p=73183&hilit=stopped#p73183 Dreaded SELinux. I totally forgot to disable that when I Installed CentOS on it. That's normally my standard procedure as that screws around with lot of stuff and causes ...

Web interface keeps showing as "stopped"
I added a camera following the wiki, but I cannot figure out how to actually view it. It seems something is wrong with the interface as well, which may be why I'm not seeing all options. On the top of the interface this is what it says: ZoneMinder Console - Stopped - v1.24.4 Why does it say "stopped ...

Re: Having trouble getting web interface to work
I found the /web folder in the tar file, so I copied it over to my proper apache folder, so I'm getting somewhere now. This was not part of the instructions in the tutorial (I can't post links as it thinks I'm a spammer) Created the virtual host, dns entry etc... and that part is good. It was also ...

Having trouble getting web interface to work
I installed zoneminder using a tutorial (board wont let me post url but I can provide it via PM if needed) I eventually got to a point where the service exists and can start/restart/stop so I'm assuming the back end is working. After some searching for the web interface so I can configure it in ...
