Looking for opinions on Xeon E5
There are a lot of older Xeon E5 26xx processor servers in the used market. Just wondering how well those processors work with ZoneMinder. I know cores are better than clock speeds and some of the E5s have a lot of cores. I currently run 40 HD cameras spread across three ZoneMinder machines, all i7 ...

Re: Upgraded from 1.34.16 to 1.34.18 no motion events
I'm running in dlandon/zoneminder Docker containers. His Dockerfile picks up whatever you have on your 1.34 PPA. I don't see an easy way to downgrade that so I'll just hang on for an update. Thanks for your work on this iconnor.

Re: Upgraded from 1.34.16 to 1.34.18 no motion events
I am seeing the same issue. After upgrading one of my machines to 1.34.18, all MOCORD event detection stopped. I have a few other ZM installs that are still at 1.34.16 and they are still working as expected. As mentioned above, I can switch to MODECT and it works like it is supposed to. This ...

Re: zmdc crash
Just wanted to post that I ran into this same problem over the weekend and spent way too many hours trying to find the cause. Like you, I saw that mysql had been updated and immediately assumed that was my problem. Manually running zmc gave me the same "double free" crash you mentioned. I "fixed" it ...

Re: Multi Server install with linked cameras
Yes, I can confirm this. I have a very similar setup but with two servers, 32 cameras and 64 monitors. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that my high-def monitors were not recording triggered events. Like you, I found that the low-def and high-def monitors had gotten placed on separate servers. Once I ...

Re: Kodi plugin [plugin.video.zoneminder] 2.0.0
Hey, just wanted to say thank you for working on this. As a long-time ZM user, I've looked for a reliable way to get my cameras to display in Kodi. I had some luck with the previous plugin but your new API-based work is definitely going to be an improvement. I look forward to seeing where you take ...

[SOLVED] Re: Multi-server setup, streams stopping and restarting
As a follow-up to my own post, it appears that turning on ZM_AUTH_HASH_LOGINS solved this. While testing with zmNinja it popped up a message stating that this needed to be enabled. Once I did, this problem went away. ZM_AUTH_HASH_LOGINS is apparently off by default in 1.32.2 and it wasn't obvious to ...

Changing run state affects only current server
I have a couple of custom run states that I use to switch all of my cameras between Modect and Mocord modes. I have noticed that in a multi-server configuration, changing the run state affects only those cameras that are assigned to the server to which I am connected. The other cameras remain in the ...

Re: Multi-server setup, streams stopping and restarting
I have a bit more information on this. I noticed in the browser debugging tools that every time I see this stop/restart in the stream, I get an error like the one in the attached image. I get this when I stream from a camera that is on a different server than the one I am connected to. How can I go ...

[SOLVED] Multi-server setup, streams stopping and restarting
I'm setting up a multi-server config with Ubuntu 18.04 and ZM 1.32. Everything is up and running correctly with one problem. Assume my two servers are zm1 and zm2. When I connect to zm1 and watch a live feed from a zm2 camera, the video stream constantly stops and restart. Looking in the logs on zm2 ...

Multi-Server configuration question
When setting up a multi-server configuration, is it necessary to reverse-proxy ALL ZoneMinder servers so that they can be accessed remotely? I was reading this thread: https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=27112 and it appears that I have the same problem as the original poster. I have ...
