Re: Limiting upload filter event count
I don't want to do that. In that scenario, it depends my memory, if I remember to put recording on. Better is let it record all time, but upload events only as "backup", if somebody finds and steals my zoneminder box.

Limiting upload filter event count
Hi, I want zoneminder to send events via ftp, but only when I am not home. I can activate upload filter when I leave home, but it starts to upload old events. I can't find how to limit events recorded after filter is activated. I tried this: "date/time greater than -10 minutes" Goal is to set time ...

Re: zmfilter.pl ' exited abnormally, exit status 9
by the way;
You maybe want also repair/optimize mysql tables. For me it caused strange behavior. Power failure or something had messed my tables. It luckily has happened only once.
Generally, I think zm is very robust software. It hasn't never crashed for me.

Re: zmfilter.pl ' exited abnormally, exit status 9
I also noticed that if I enable email sending in options, it also causes zmfilter to fail. You can debug it running zmfilter.pl from command line. Just find binary first. It is in /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin. For me it whines about perl zip componen, what guided me to investigate it. I changed UPLOAD ...

Re: zmfilter.pl ' exited abnormally, exit status 9
I was facing that too. It started after I created filter that uploads events to my ftp server. I noticed that even deleting "upload" filter did not help. But after I unticked "should zoneminder support uploading events from filters" in options, it started working again. Maybe I have something wrong ...

Re: watch only using apache security
I solved this "dirty way": - I renamed classic-skin to admin - I did edit original classic skin, removed all buttons and hyperlinks and named it as classic Now users see my edited front screen without "dangerous" buttons and hyperlinks, and I can use admin skin. I know this can be bypassed easily by ...

Re: watch only using apache security
Or is it possible to remove "options"- and "delete"button and hyperlinks to change function etc from default skin? I don't need real security, just to be sure that my wife don't do anything stupid by accident.

watch only using apache security
I am using apache htaccess security with zoneminder. Is there any way to limit user to only watch events/live stream with apache security? I know that zoneminder has built in user management, but for some reason it does not work for me. I contstantly get connection errors using built in security ...

delete events older than x days
Is it possible make filter that deletes events older than for example five days? I do mocord with four cameras daytime, and record one camera (other disabled) at night (motion detection does not work correctly at night) I want to delete recorded events for this camera that are older than 5 days, so ...

Re: luminance varies itself.. causes event
There is heat sink, but small one. I have almost given up with this card, because using four cameras it is so slow, even if I could get it to work. I found this card on ebay: 320858510897 (ebay item number) It uses philips 7134 chips. Does anybody have that card in use? I found some mentions on ...

Re: luminance varies itself.. causes event
Thanks for your reply. I have tested those settings, but they do not help. I have exactly same settings for all cameras. Biggest problem is jumping picture. It jumps one frame up and down in all cameras. I have tried all interlace settings etc. Mostly, when I unload and load bttv module, and restart ...

Re: luminance varies itself.. causes event
Ok, I think that my one-chip pico card is the problem. If I have only one camera connected, there is just stable picture without problems. But after second one is connected, I have all kind of problems. Jumping picture and wondering brightness. I have tried all possible bttv options and zoneminder ...

luminance varies itself.. causes event
Hi to Everybody. I built surveillance system using centos 6 and zoneminder 1.24.4. My goal was to integrate it with mythtv dvr-system. I have four composite cameras connected to pico card. Everything works fine, except I am getting lots of false alarms caused by brightness changes. I don't know what ...
