Re: Facial recognition with AWS or GCP
AWS offers Amazon Rekognition, which is pretty straightforward to set up and great for analyzing images. GCP’s Vision AI is also solid and can handle a variety of image processing tasks. If you want to integrate it with Home Assistant, you could set up a cloud function that processes your alarm.jpg f ...

Re: Wifi Chinese Bulb camera
Sounds like you're in a bit of a bind with that bulb camera and ZM. If it's not ONVIF compliant, that might be the root of your troubles. Sometimes these devices have proprietary protocols that don't play well with universal software like ZM. You might have better luck checking for any firmware ...

Re: Overwrite recordings
To set up automatic deletion or overwriting of recordings based on size, you can use the "purge when full" option in the storage settings. Just go to the storage tab and configure the storage you're using. There, you can set the max size and choose to either delete or overwrite old recordings when ...

Re: Login URL
What worked for me was using the IP address of the machine where Docker is running, followed by the port number. For example, if your Docker host's IP is 192.168.1.100 and ZM is running on port 8080, try entering "http://192.168.1.100:8080" in your Chromium browser.

Re: Help with server
One common way to access your cameras remotely is by setting up port forwarding on your router. You'll need to forward the appropriate ports to your PC running ZoneMinder. Just make sure to do this securely and consider using a VPN or changing the default port for added security.

Re: Excessive energy consumption
I once faced a similar challenge with high energy consumption in my home. It wasn't a VM, but several home appliances consumed more power than I expected. To tackle this, I explored intelligent metering solutions, which might also be helpful in your situation with the Zoneminder VM. I discovered ...

Programatically login
Hi everyone, I have the following requirement to which I didn't find a solution yet: I have a personal site where users use my authentication method (db based) and within the site, I have an iframe showing the video stream from another server running zoneminder (it's an iframe). For obvious reasons ...

Re: Axis 200+ camera and Zoneminder
Thanks francisuk22, I gave it a try, but I wasn't hoping to work better than the url with /fullsize.jpg The url you provided, it works in the browser, but for some reason, doesn't work in Zoneminder. The setting with the /fullsize.jpg works as good as the serverpush url shown in the browser. No ...

Re: Axis 200+ camera and Zoneminder
Hmm...how didn't I try that :) I'll give it a go and let you guys know how it went. Yeah.... it works like a charm (given the limitations). Thanks a lot! Can we update the wiki page for the Axis cameras, to include instructions for Axis 200+ ? This will help others like me who spent hours ...

Re: Axis 200+ camera and Zoneminder
Hi Flasheart, Thanks for your reply! If you have never seen Axis 200+, it's hard to understand how this works. I think these were ones of the first network cameras they made. You set up the IP using ARP protocol. Interesting. It has like 2MB of ram. To generate a fullsize picture (aprox. 350x250 ...

Axis 200+ camera and Zoneminder
Good day | evening everyone, After spending many many hours online and on the zoneminder interface, trying to get this camera to show, I decided to come here and ask; maybe one of you have done it and would save me lots of hours. I bought (I wish I didn't) two Axis 200+ cameras on eBay. Good deal ...
