Re: new install first setup capture card

Hi Cliff, nope didn't do anything. My project was for home use, since it's not a priority it got moved to the back of the queue. ZM is great I guess if you have a huge amount of Linux experience and\or time. No such thing as a free lunch, either you pay for a fully functional and supported applicati...

Re: new install first setup capture card

I got stuck and didn't bother to continue investigating. Don't have time to fiddle as much as it required. I tried to buy a Bluecherry card twice but as soon as I place my order the guys changed pricing and delivery fees, once even after I paid, they at least refunded me.

Re: H.264 Capture Card

hi punch-card, did you go with the H.264 card in the end? I am considering the Bluecherry one, although it is allegedly supported there doesn't seem to be a lot of support out there in case you run into a problem.

Re: new install first setup capture card

Did you guys ever manage to figure it out? I looked at the supported hardware section too, and I also found it a bit light in detail. :)

What did you end up buying?

Re: Ubuntu 12.04 and Bt878a chipped DVR - no image in xawtv

I managed to get a USB Webcam working under xawtv, but that is it. I am not that great with Linux OSs so I think that is holding me back a bit. I would really appreciate some guidance here, please. Still nothing via my PCI DVR card......it's really annoying!

Is Bluecherry BC-H08240A supported?

I saw that ZM does support the 16 channel version of this Bluecherry card - in the wiki I found BC-H16480A. I am assuming that means that the 8 channel version is supported too? The Forum engine didn't allow me to use offsite URL strings, it says it look spamy! :D 8 channel in question: Bluecherry B...

Ubuntu 12.04 and Bt878a chipped DVR - no image in xawtv

Hi, So I have been trawling your forums for a few weeks and come as far as I possibly could without making any further positive progress. After a few weeks of trying on and off, I will now admit. I need some serious help! I am running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a Pentium Dual core machine with 4GB or RAM. ...
