I hear you about the pixel count not being the end all be all. The quality of the lens and camera design makes a big difference. I looked up the AVTech AVN257, and it costs about $165 in the US. After much looking I found that I can get the Dahua IPC-HFW2100 for $150, and they get pretty good ...
