Re: Setting up linked instances of ZoneMinder - is it possib

I have notes to use the following, I haven't tried it yet. We will be doing similar as our old server has a 4 port capture card that wont fit in the new server that will mainly be recording IP cameras. http://IPADDRESS/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=jpeg&monitor=<ID%20i.e.%2032>&scale=100&maxfps=5&buffer=1000 ...

Re: H264 CCTV 1280*720 dont work with ZoneMinder

I have had to do the following on the camera to make them work with RTSP change the FPS to a lower number, ZM cant handle the rate of the stream change the authentication to allow anonymous. This can be well hidden as I have not managed to get ZoneMinder to work with the rtsp://user:password ...

Re: Ubiquiti Aircam 7955 ERR Found bogus jpeg

Hi The snapshot.cgi uses authentication, so it will work for a period after someone has accessed the camera directly then stop working. I have been running one for 6 weeks without a hitch using these settings: Source Type: Ffmpeg FP: both blank - set these on the camera for a unicast stream. Source ...

Re: Camera AVTECH AVN801Z with Zoneminder

I haven't but for the AVN257 you need to go to
  • Config > Online > enable anonymous access
  • Config > video > Change the frame rates from 25fps down to 2-5 depending on what your network / Zondminder can cope with.
I have added a page to the wiki for AVTech cameras.

Re: Zoneminder with laptop planning.

I'm using an old laptop at home for my bird box. You'll need to keep it somewhere cool and clean an ideally provide it with a "cooling pad" i.e. some additional fans. You can use passive POE splitters to run power down ethernet without using a POE camera :D search ebay for "PoE Passive Power Over ...

Re: Custom Montage and Authentication?

Create a new limited user who can only view the streams
Change your URL "mode=jpeg&monitor=1&scale=100&maxfps=10&buffer=1000&user=username&password=password"

Our use the cambozolla applet ifyou view source on a page you can see it.

Re: Foscam cameras trying to contact linode?

I've noticed a lot of the cheaper cams seem to register themselves for DynamicDNS so its probably that. While this helps the non technical user view it remotely I cant help wonder why they use a propriety service other than for some dodgy reason. for one make the url uses the mac addresss, so you ...

Re: Recommend an IP PoE bullet cam with >= 1280x720 resoluti

I want POE, but I found the wonder of passive poe splitter cables. These let you run power and IP down the same piece of ethernet. Don't run it through a switch though, it has to be on the final hop to the camera however long that maybe. You'll need a waterproof junction box to put the cables in if ...

Re: AVTech IP Camera config

Camera works okay, but the mpeg4 stream just stops in Zoneminder over night. As the camera is on a test bench this could either be because there is no movement (it doesn't pick it up again) Zoneminder doesn't keep the multicast ports open It works again after I access the stream from VLC on another ...

Re: AVTech IP Camera config

This is a screen cap running at 640x480 with a 12mm lens with the IR filter set to be always ON i.e. use IR all the time so bright lights dont make it switch modes at night.

add http to this.
