From lspci: 01:01.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video Capture (rev 11) 01:01.1 Multimedia controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Audio Capture (rev 11) So on the FAQ, under "Cards by Number", is the "rev 11" from lspci relevant to "card=n" in the list? I suppose should ...

Why is this happening?
http://i.imgur.com/EBe6TM6.png This is from a single event, when you click to view "stills". This happens in many places. If I click on a camera's "zone", I get the proper zone field, but the image is from another camera. If I click on 4 camera view, all 4 can show one view, then again can work as ...

Re: Modect recording too much
Unchecked, that should limit the space used. But that still leaves me with many events that are nothing. 3 of the cameras are inside a 6 car garage. Modect recording too much
Hi there, I have 4 cameras, all set to Modect. As far as I can tell, they aren't linked to one another (click on relevant "/dev/video" link under "source", under "Linked Monitors" nothing is selected for all of them) But I still get lots of event images, most of them showing absolutely no action ...

Cropped video image?
Does ZM do any video cropping by default? One of my cameras is not showing people's heads in one shot where I believe it did with whatever standalone DVR my building was using. Any way to check if it is being cropped somehow? Zoom is listed as 1x # zmu -d /dev/video0 -q -v Video Device: /dev/video0 ...

Re: Installing on ubuntu 12.10
The package should install everything for you. After that, some of the things you want to do: Set a value for kernel.shmmax in /etc/sysctl.conf, otherwise, you might see errors about permissions or free space for /dev/shm/zm.mmap.* If you see the same video in all monitors and are using a bttv card ...
