If you go to options and set the low bandwidth settings to the same as the high bandwidth settings, this would essentially do it. I don't see where the setting can be defaulted.

I did not, but I did give up at some point. If you figure it out, I'd love to have it working here.

The control file is correct -- the commands all check out and work when I plug them into the address bar. The problem seems to be related to the ajaxError function in functions.php ...
