Disregard.
I went to the very first post in this thread and set up the camera THAT way. Works again!
No idea why/how it worked all this time with the settings I had originally set, but it works now.

Re: Reolink RLC-410 Data Streams
Glad to see a recent post! I just upgraded my ZoneMinder to the latest greatest. I can get all my cameras to work except for 1: Reolink RLC-410W Before upgrading, I took screenshots of all my settings. I got my other cameras to work right away, but for some reason this one fails to connect. Has ...

Solar Powered Wireless Camera option?
Does anyone know of a solar powered wireless camera which is compatible with ZoneMinder?
I've found a few solar wireless cameras, but they're all proprietary and I can't actually web/http/https directly to the camera.
Thanks!

Re: Foscam FI9903P not motion detecting
Are you by chance rotating the video?
I was doing this, and had to go in and change the detection 'zone' settings because the red square was still stuck in the original orientation for some reason, and nothing would trigger an event.

Re: Often get empty "New Event", zero length
Fix Permissions chown -R www-data:www-data /usr/share/zoneminder/ Already determined it's not permissions, at least not on the directories mentioned, as mentioned earlier in the thread. Also, please note, the Events get created just fine most of the time. It's just the very first image/event at a ...

Re: Often get empty "New Event", zero length
To test permissions, yesterday I did: # cd /var/cache # chmod -R 777 zoneminder This morning, I saw the error again, immediately followed by a successful Event. Zm-event-error.png Is it possible that if the full directory doesn't exist when an event occurs, this error results? For example, the ...

Re: Often get empty "New Event", zero length
I have seen this error on occasion as well, at random times and mostly with Debian 9 installations, but in some Ubuntu variations also. I can not pinpoint the exact fix or if there even is one at the moment. I will see if I can create the error again! Interesting observation. Prior to this ...

Re: Often get empty "New Event", zero length
Ah that was dumb of me, you showed the logs that show the problem. Could be a bad symlink from /usr/share/zoneminder/www/events to /var/cache/zoneminder/events, or permissions. If it was a directory permission issue, wouldn't it always fail? The fact that it usually works fine, but then-- usually ...

Re: Often get empty "New Event", zero length
Yes, and the files are written there with no issue most of the time. I just get the above issue at random times.

Often get empty "New Event", zero length
I just set up Zoneminder 1.30.4 and everything seems to be working pretty good. But I'll frequently get events: "New Event", which never get assigned an index/value, and has zero length. They seem to occur right before a legitimate event occurs, but often the legitimate event will never show up. I ...

Re: Video looks normal, but saved videos are stretced / wide
I dug into this a bit more and analyzed the images and video from the Zoneminder server itself. For a particular event, the following directory with the images and video was created: /var/cache/zoneminder/events/West/18/03/01/12/04/19 In there, I have 155 JPGs and 1 AVI: 00001-capture.jpg ...

No, event playback looks normal; no stretching.

Video looks normal, but saved videos are stretced / wide
I just installed 1.3.40 on Ubuntu server. Everything working great, but when I have an event and save it as a video, the resulting video looks stretched wide no matter which format I export to.
Setting somewhere I missed?

Re: Can Zoneminder 1.30.4 runs on Raspberry pi model B+?
I tried this as well, but it just couldn't cut it. The video was very choppy, it was sluggish, etc. Unfortunate. I ended up using an old Dell laptop (D620) which was no longer suitable for my current desktop needs but great for Zoneminder. Installed Ubuntu 16 server using the Zoneminder Ubuntu docs ...
