Re: Problem installing zm on Debian Bookworm

To exclude an error in installing I did a second try: clean install Bookworm install zoneminder according to this instruction ... ... the same problem :( . https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?t=33615 So this is what worked for me. I saw your thread ... and the link in the last posting ...

Problem installing zm on Debian Bookworm

Hi, today I made a clean installation of Bookworm, setted up samba - and installed zm following this documentation . But the webpage of zm is not reachable ... (a restart of zm seems working...). Then I searched - and found this hint - I edited the red marked entries - but no success. What's to do ...

Re: Upgrade Debian - apache2 crashes

FYI: I made a backstep and restored the running Debian-11-installation (to be on safe I cloned the system with Clonezilla before upgrading zu Debian-12). I will try a clean installation (Deb 12 + zm) soon...

Thanks.

Re: Upgrade Debian - apache2 crashes

One step forward: First apache2 did not run - apache2 error.log: 'caught SIGTERM, shutting down' ... this I could fix. Apache2 is now running ... but the zm-console does not work - 'htt*://IP#/zm/' brings a lot of debugging infos. There are 2 Versions of php - 7.4 and 8.2 - in the system ... maybe ...

Upgrade Debian - apache2 crashes

Hi, because I did not get an answere to my question here I tried to upgrade my system from Debian 11 -> 12. After the upgrade the system shows an error-message at booting 'failed to start apache2.service' - but zm seems to run (the process is running and the cpu-load is suitable). But apache2 is not ...

Update Debian 11->12 ... recommended?

Hi,

because Debian 11 (Bullseye) is oldstable now - are there any problems/issues when upgrading to 12 (Bookworm)?

Thx

Re: Cameras "Not running" after Debian-Update

I set the "FPS reporting interval" in the section "Misc" in the cameras from 1000 to 300 -> now the cameras are shown als green/capturing further on :D . Thanks!

I hope there will be a hint how to do the update 1.36.34 -> 1.36.35 at Debian at the right time.

Thanks a lot.

Re: Cameras "Not running" after Debian-Update

Additional ... I have to specify this issue: I was away from home the past few hours ... ZM did capture my coming home - although the cameras are shown in the console as red & "Not Running" (screenshot above) ... Then I restarted again: the cameras are shown as green/Capturing and after some minutes ...

Cameras "Not running" after Debian-Update

Hi, I'm running ZM 1.36 for a long time on my Debian 11 (Bullseye) server ... today (after some months) I did an update on Debian, then I rebooted the server. ZM did start correctly, also events are captured (if somebody is walking in front of the cams) ... but the cams does stop working after some ...

Re: Problems getting started ... "unable to provide an image"

Many thanks for your support and patience - partial success: I'm seeing a picture in the console :D . If there ist movement in front of the camera an event is captured :D . At the moment no ERR is reported in the system-console. But if I want to see the captured event - a black screen is shown with ...

Re: Problems getting started ... "unable to provide an image"

Ahhh - I thought we were on source type ffmpeg? As I wrote ffmpeg does work! But it would be interested why protocol RTSP does not work - while this was working in v1.30 at the old installation on Debian 9 (Stretch). Here the working settings from v1.30 on Stretch (you can click to enlarge): https ...
